Samsung Galaxy Gear 2

Samsung just announced its next generation's Gear 2 Smart watch, to be honest it is a huge upgrade from what we seen in the past on Original Galaxy Gear. Lets see what's new and what is upgraded

Starting from the design it is more or less looks like it's previous version the original Gear but now it is little bit on thinner side,

Unlike it's previous version Gear 2 has 1.6" inch super AMOLED Display. 

When it comes to power.. The New Galaxy Gear 2 is powered by a 1GHz Dual core processor with 512MB of RAM and 4GB inbuilt storage which is a big and needed upgrade. Gear 2 is now capable of recording Videos in 1080p with it's built in camera on wrist strip but it is the same 2 MP like previous Gear.

Gear 2 is IP-67 certified 

means it is Water Proof. You can now use it even in rain or while taking bath.

Now it also packs in It's own music player so when you working out you can listen tracks direct from your gear no need of phone for that. 

It is a Fitness Pal 

Galaxy Gear 2 have heart rate sensor and pedometer sensor to monitor all your workout and exercise throughout the day.

Infrared Blaster

It is equipped with IR blaster so you can now control TVs with your wrist. and even some more devices like Blue ray players and Set-top box etc. with some coming applications. 

Tizen OS 

It is Not android anymore.. Samsung chosen Tizen OS for it's Gear 2 watch. It is basically a Linux based open source operating system. and recently Samsung merge down It's Bada OS with Tizen. so it is more or less is owned by Intel and Samsung both.
