OnePlus 2 near the corners

Last year ONEPLUS launched its first phone named as OnePlus One with the tag line of "flagship killer". If you ask honestly it was actually, Considering the specs it was neck to neck with that years popular flagships like galaxy S5 and LG G3. And it even killed some of them in terms of performance.
OnePlus one was a huge success for the company and company did quite well in last year despite it had some Invite system to buy it.

This Year company is coming up with it's second part and it is in near corners, It will be named as "OnePlus Two" and it will be announced on 27th July 2015. Though company has announced some of the major specs but some are still unknown. Have a look what is announced :

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2
  • 4GB LPDDR4 : RAM
  • USB-C type connection
  • Fast Fingerprint Scanner
  • Available under $450 mark
we still don't know about the design and display however Camera was uncovered by a popular youtuber MKBHD he said it has maximum of 13 megapixels at 4:3 ratio and he didn't find any OIS on that unit, but figures crossed things can change to final unit.

Comment below and share you thoughts what you think about the next flagship killer :)

Meet Windows Phone 8.1

At Moscone Center in San Francisco Microsoft Launched it's new Awaited Update to Windows Phone as windows phone 8.1 . Windows Phone 8 was highly popular and yes should be because of the fluid performance and great feature it offered, in 8.1 update they just jumped to another level Windows Phone 8 Plus 1 , you can say it's just some addition to windows phone 8.

So What's new in windows phone 8.1 ?

Google Now and Siri is highly popular when it comes to Android and iOS But in Windows Phone 8 we don't have that much functionality. But wait is over Meet "Cortana" , windows phone shout to Android and iOS. It is the new personal voice assistant which is also very rich when it comes to functionality.
Cortana can do following things for you with just your voice :
  • Setting Alarm/Reminders
  • Sending Texts
  • Calling some one
  • Weather search
  • Launch Applications
  • Some common Questions for Web search (like Google Now)
  • Navigate to a place
these are just few things there are lot of other things to check out.

Action Center

Boom! it's finally here, a common notification center for windows phone. With just a single swipe from the top and you can access your quick toggle setting for things like WiFi ,Bluetooth ,Airplane mode, Rotation lock, and just below them you will see all of your notifications from all sources weather it's text or email or even a miss call all at single place with just  a single swipe from anywhere, so don't worry if you miss them in live tiles you can catch them up anytime :)

Personal Live Tiles

Don't like tiles color ? Want your own wallpaper or your photo for that matter ? yes! now you can do it so, in Windows Phone 8.1 you have the option to use your custom image for "Start Background". Your image only appear in tiles like sliced photo but hey! it's a good add on at least we have that customization option if anyone want to use.

Word Flow Keyboard

Sounds different but this is just Windows Phone's swipe like keyboard input method. It allows users to type with just one hand by moving there fingers from one letter to other, more or less like swipe on android. Not a great add on but a good one for those moments when you can not use your both hands.

Internet Explorer 11

The new Internet Explorer is an upgrade to IE 10 found on Windows Phone 8. It features HTML 5 video codecs for embedded YouTube videos so you can enjoy desktop like experience, you also have In Private browsing which is quite handy when you want to open a site and don't want it to left any cookies or open tabs, and there are some more improvements to its functionality and performance.

Skype Integration

Now you can make Skype call from your on going voice call, suppose you are talking to someone who is available on Skype as well so, from that voice call you can jump to Skype call with just a single tab on Skype logo next to call options.

Some More Add On

  • Camera App Now feature Burst mode for continuous shooting options
  • Windows common search, home and back keys now part of the interface
  • Now it's easy to project content of your phone to PC and Xbox
  • Data sense, WiFi sense , Storage sense and battery saver tools for a good control over each activity.
  • New Calender which can sync across your PC and Xbox as well.
  • 3rd Row for tiles as we seen on Phones like Lumia 1520, Now it's common for all Windows Phone 8.1
 # Microsoft says it will be available with flagships like Lumia 930 in late April or starting of the May and Nokia announces that all of it's windows phone 8 devices will be updated to this version in late summers.

Samsung's New Tab 4 series goes official !

Samsung just launched all new lighter and thinner Tab line, people were hoping to see them back in MWC but it's never too late they are finally here.
there are 3 models in all, to be specific :

  • Tab 4 7.0 (7" display)
  • Tab 4 8.0 (8" display), and
  • Tab 4 10.1 (10.1 display) models
All the tablets are more on pocket friendly side so there hardware too.. but design wise a big thumbs up for Samsung they are very thin and Bezels are minimized to it's max which makes the tab look more sophisticated.

Now coming to there specs.
All The hardware are same for every tablet except there display sizes..
so they are packing with a 1.2GHz Quad core processor along with 1.5 GB of ram and 1200x800 resolution display (which is not so good for 10.1 version) we have 8/16GB inbuilt memory choices and we do have option to expend it via microSD card so smile :). When it comes to camera there is nothing to wow! about it's just 3Mpxl rear camera and 1.3 for the front to enjoy video calls.
They are running the latest 4.4 Kitkat with touch viz custom UI by samsung

all the tabs are available in wifi/cellular version and hoping to lie down under $300 mark.

News Beat App For Android

Most of the people love reading news and stay update about what's happening around the world in their respective section of interest. There are ton of apps in the play store already.

News beat just arrived on play store with some different approach, it is essentially a customize-able news app which has the ability to read the news for you , yes! you don't need to read the news any more just listen to it, app will do it all for you.

How it works ?
okay it's simple just tell the News Beat what you like most in news and it will only show the content from that section, after fetching news from different sources about that section it will start reading for you .. we have male and female voices. Though, voices are not human like but not as well as on robotic side it is okay for most of the words .. but sometimes it sounds robotic while speaking some kind of name or place. But hey its okay for that moment when you are not really in mood to read anything just plug your earphones or put the phone on a dock and just listen to some important thing happening near you.

The version i am using on my phone needs continuous internet connection while app reading an article so i believe net connection is must for this app.. there are no offline saving options yet and sources are very limited. Yes, we can add RSS of our choice but yet sources about some topics are few.. hope they bring up some more functionality in future updates but for the moment its worth listening.

Its Free On play store you can check out by clicking on the following link TRY UP!

Link bubble App

Don't have any floating browser ? no issues link bubble is the solution. This newly popular app is very handy and it can save your ton of time...
HOW iT WORKS ?
Links from any application basically take you to your default Web Browser and you kind of leave that app for a moment but with Link Bubble its no more wating..
You can choose which application's link you want to open in Link Bubble. In the free version the choice of apps are limited but one should check free version before moving for the pro.
I have tried free version with my twitter app , whenever I clicked on any link it bring up a floating bubble and keep me in the twitter as well. So my link is also loading up in the background and I am reading some more tweets simultaneously as well so it saved up my hell lot time.
